Please know that I am not doctor. Here is the Carac official web site to look at so you can research this treatment.
And here is an article by Doctor Kevin Berman about the use of topical treatments to aid in your healing.
See if those two resources answer your question. But honestly your best bet is to discuss any treatment options with your doctor or dermatologist.
