Hello chefvince!

Have you had your surgery yet?  This is a question best asked of your doctor.

In the meantime you may wish to read my post:  Healing after Mohs Surgery:  A Dermatologist Answers Your Questions.

The literature is fairly consistent in saying that most patients can return to work a day or so after their surgery.  You are advised to avoid heavy lifting, straining, or stenuous exercise for 7-21 days after your surgery.

There really isn't anything in the literature about cooking or grease.  You need to ask your doctor about your concerns.

Hope it all goes well.  Please let us know how your surgery goes and especially your recovery.

Thank you for your question.
