i got a round little mole above my nose, and i didnt have it before,im scared it might be cancer.
when i was 12 i saw a light brow dot above my nose and i thought it was a pimple, so i tried to pop it but nothing came out. the next day i woke up and i had a dark little round dot that looked like a moe in the same place with the light brown dot, i thought it would go away in a few days but its been 4 years and i still have it, im afraid it might be skin cancer, since i spend a lot of time in the sun because i play tennis, im 16 and my grandma died of cancer i dont know if the mole is cancerous or not any help? im desperate!
I'm assuming you see a pediatrician or adolescent physician yearly for a school check up so why not call, make an appt. and bring the area to his or her attention ASAP. If you are still worried - ask for a dermatology referral and let your parents know how concerned you are.
I know that feeling of "why did I ignore it for so long and what should I do now" - so rahter than obsess about it - get it looked at by a professional.
If you are not already - start using a UVA/UVB broad spectrum sunblock that is sweat proof - and re-apply it according to the directions - every day you are outside - on face and body. If you want a glow - get it from a self tanner - that decision alone can save your life.
