i have cafe au lait Nevus on my thigh. is derm abrasion the best solution for it or laser treatment

I have a large blackish to brown coloured patch on my thigh. it started when i was 10 and was small, it started increasing with my age. but stopped increasing after 18. it is flat and is 3"X6" in size and has slightly coarser hair than the rest of my hair. i have gotten derm abrasion done on half of the patch and have also tried the Q switch laser. the result of derm abrasion is that my skin looks much lighter than my natural skin tone. Q switch laser treatment is very slow and is giving me patchy results

I want to remove it for aesthetic reasons otherwise it is harmless. I need your suggestion about the best technique to remove it so that it matches my normal skin tone.
