I have a suspicious mole and my dermatologist will not see me for almost 2 months.

I have spotted what I believe may be a suspicious mole on my back.  I called to make an appointment with my dermatolgist and they claim they cannot fit me in for at least six weeks.  Should I try to get an appointment sooner with another dermatologist?

I would definitely see someone sooner.  Either a Skin Cancer Screening Clinic or another skin specialist as depending on the type of mole it could become more difficult to treat the longer you leave it.

I was just notified that my mole is a melonoma cancer, my physician saw it and had me get a biopsy asap. Have your regular doctor look at it he should be able to tell you if you should have it checked.  Things are going to fast for me.  I had the biopsy on the 3rd and the results 6 days later and set for surgery this Monday the 21st.  I didn't even see a dermatologist.

last week i was dianosed with squamous cell carcinoma on my face about an inch blow my eye.  a white scaly patch had been there about three years. they froze it off and then wanted to use adara. i said no and wen to a different doctor, he did a biopsay that sais it was a well differentiated, focally extending to tissue base and scar from biopsy. does this extending to tissue base mean it is more likely to spread. what exactly does it mean and my mohs surgery is not scheduled for over a month. is this too long to wait. and also i have hear horror stories of people losing their noses. the spot is very small but i am very scared and can't seem to get any answers.
