Q: what does well-differentiated, focally extending to tissue base mean?

last week i was diagnnosed with squamous cell carcinonma on my face about an inch below my eye. just a white scally spot. my mohs surgery is sceduled over a month awa. is this too long to wait. how bad is focally tisssue based abd what does it mean. the drs. say i will have a small scar. is this true. this focally based tissue scares me. does that mean it is deep and could spread.
