Aggravating Moles?

This may seem like an elementary question, but I have a raised mole on the back of my neck, right below my hairline.  Occasionally when I'm brushing my hair my brush will graze the mole and I feel a sharp pain.  Obviously I try to avoid it, but will this aggravate the mole/increase risk of skin cancer?

First Lady Laura Bush had a skin cancer tumor removed

The Washington Post reported that First Lady Laura Bush had a skin cancer tumor removed last fall.  Her story reminds me that we all should be aware of skin health - whether we live in the White House or not.

Acne vs. Skin Cancer

My son has acne, and his dermatologist says the best way to treat it beyond medication is lots of sunlight. I fear we may be trading one health problem for another....?

What steps shoud I be taking?

I have very fair skin, but I also tend to have skin reactions to most lotions and creams. Knowing that I should be wearing some sort of sunblock every day, what are my options as far as the least likely to give me more skin trouble? Are there lotions and creams that that shouldn't be used by some types of people?
