An Israeli-American drug company is developing a new drug that its makers say may be able to treat both skin cancer and psoriasis. The drug, currently called HBP-347, is based on an extract found in St. John's Wort and is formulated after the naturally occurring chemical compound hypericin. The company says the skin cancer drug could be available in as little as three years.
