Energy-saving light bulbs may cause skin problems

Health officials are warning that spending too much time in close proximity to environmentally-safer light bulbs may cause skin redness. Though the ultraviolet light emissions are not linked to skin cancer, they may cause temporary skin reddening among people who have light sensitivity issues related to other health problems, experts say. For those patients, the experts recommend using a compact fluorescent bulb that has a covered coil.   Read full story >
