Doctor Who Used Fake Botox Sentenced to Jail

A doctor in Houston who admitted she injected at least 170 patients with fake Botox has been sentenced to almost six months in prison and ordered to pay $98,000 in restitution. Dr. Gayle Rothenberg says she stopped using Botox after a price increase and began using a medication not approved for human use that cost about half as much. She then admitted she mislabeled the drug and lied to law enforcement officials about it. Rothenberg will not be allowed to seek reinstatement of her medical license.  Read full story >
