To choose the right palette for your skin, take a look at yourself in the mirror under natural light while holding up gold and silver jewelry to your face. If your face looks brighter with gold jewelry, your skin tone is on the warmer side and a copper eyeshadow will flatter your coloring. If silver looks better, your skin tone is on the cooler side. Go with gunmetal grays and silvers.
With silver, take a sheer, shimmery shade and brush it over the entire eyelid and into the crease, leaving the brow bone clean. If you have larger eyes, you can apply the same shimmer underneath the eyes as well. Apply a darker gray close to the lash line, blending it up and into the lighter silver. Nars's Eyeshadow Duo in Paris offers both of these colors while you can mix and match the colors in Duwop's Grey Eyes palette.
For coppery smoky eyes, apply a deep shimmer like Stila's Eye Shadow in Ray all over the eyelid and into crease. Line eyes with a dark brown eye pencil like Dior Crayon Eyeliner in Deep Brown. In both cases, apply black mascara to finish the look.
With the emphasis on your eyes, stick with sheer blush and nude lip colors if possible. L'oreal's Infallible Lip Gloss in Barely Nude offers shine and just the faintest hint of color.
