It's amazing what our body is sensitive to, and the skin is no exception. Given general health otherwise, it can be one of the most devastating because it is "out" there for everyone to see. Who would think a treatment for the skin rash was actually making it worse?
I keep telling the same story of becoming allergic to a certain soap after using it for so long, but it just reinforces the idea to suspect everything and do your own detective work, along with the doctor. At least they can test for this, but it would have been a long time before I had suspected the treatment was making things worse.
All those, -mycin, made me look that up just now, wondering why so many words ended that way. Apparently it means a substance derived from a bacterium.
