Well I must say that I believed several of these myths including the ones about shaving will make the hair grow back thicker as well as the one about getting Vitamin D from the sun.

Thanks for shedding some light on these skin care myths.  Looking forward to reading more of your articles.

Hi,

Loved the article on skin care myths. In it, you mentioned silicone elastomer gel.

What is that and where can I find it?

I'm kind of hoping it's readily available in some OTC form.

Thanks! :)

Thanks for the great writeup on skin care myths, aptly named as wrong skin care tips.

It was really an eye opener for many people to properly manage their skin in the summer. I also recommend good old natural facials like cucumber, tomatoes, neem paste to bring that skin back to shape and smoothness.

To suggest that getting vitamin d in small doese from the sun is harmful is in itself harmfull advice.

Wake up folks. The sun keeps our planet and ourselves alive. It is not the enemy in small regular doses
