Tanning dependence: Is your college student majoring in "tanorexia?"

A study of 400 university students and volunteers (University of Virginia) reveals that more than 25% of those surveyed reported symptoms of what health experts would call "tanning dependence."  These behaviors were thought to have similarities, clinically, to alcohol and drug abuse.  ...

Thanks so much for this important post Healthgal.  I think like most things in college, kids feel indesctructible and it is their right to " act out"; they are in college afterall.  And I'm not sure parents really think about tanning as something dangerous to their kids while they are away at school.  But it sure sounds like it might have connection to behaviors that are dangerous and parents should be cautious.

Young aged people are easy to get influenced on what is in. That is why there's a high risk tanning percentage for young aged. Our young ones should be guided properly to prevent them from danger. http://gm2labs.com/
