Q: Red bumps on hands, feet and elbows

This all started back like 4 years ago. At first it they werent so bad but each time i get these bumps they get worse and worse. The come and go. Sometimes i wont get them again close to a year then other times after a few months. These bumps seem to like to cluster around my nuckles the most. On the top of my hands on the nuckles then like to start by clustering in small groups then get so big and so many that my whole nuckles look a deep red. Then with my palm facing up u can see that they have also clustered all around my fingers. Here there isnt any main point they look like they cover my whole fingers. They get so bad then I can feel them when i open or close my hand. Sometimes they get so bad where i cant. Like i said in my question they also seem to appear on my elbows and on my toes around the joints. They ich a bit but they never really have before but im guessing they are starting to now because its getting worse. They burn though. I will wake up in the middle of the night wanting to cry sometimes because either, i cant move my hands, they burn or ich so badly that i just want to rip them off. If anyone has any idea what these might be it would help me out a lot. I dont want these anymore

Thanks

Sarah

I have this exact problem too. It all started 2 summers ago when I went on a beach vacation and stayed in the sun a lot. My doctor told me that it was probably a mild reaction to the sun. I asked to have some tests done on them and she told me not to bother, just to stay out of the sun. But I've started to get them just from the sun hitting my arm while driving. I'm hoping to go to a dermatologist soon to see if they'll have a different answer.
