Q: Does the birth control pill Loestrin 24 Fe Help Treat Acne? Also does taking a birth control pill help prevent ovarian cysts at age 29

Yes sometimes doctors will prescribe a low dose birth control pill to treat acne. It may be used when topical creams and other acne medications aren't working.
And yes sometimes doctors will prescribe birth control pills so that functional ovarian cysts do have a chance to develop. If you don't ovulate you are less likely to form cysts.
