Q: they thought I had poison ivey. It's been 4 weeks now and I have constant outbreaks the itching is driving me nuts

Who are "they"? Have you been seen by a doctor?
Here is an article about Poison Ivy, Oak, and Sumac. So are you saying that you are not sure what your rash is?
The oil from poison ivy stays potent and can remain on tools or clothes if not washed off.
If you have had this rash for four weeks...you need to be seen by a doctor to determine the cause and also be treated.
I hope your rash clears up soon.
