I use 15 SPF and I never get burned. Can I assume I am protecting my skin enough?

Because I don't get burned, I figure I'm not damaging my skin.

Sunburns are caused by UVB rays, but UVA rays are harmful in terms of aging and have recently been shown to cause damage to DNA in skin cells. Essentially, UVA rays can cause damage you don't see until many years later. If you're using a sunscreen and not just a foundation, up the coverage to an SPF 30 product and reapply throughout the day. If the SPF 15 is in a foundation, apply SPF 30 underneath the makeup.
