Q: Is exposure to sun bad while using retin-a?

I've been using retin-a since two weeks, and next week I'm going to a vacation where I will be under the sun most of the time, is it okay?

Hi Razan,

The Retin-A makes the layers of your skin thinner, and therefore you will burn much easier than normal. You should try to avoid being in direct sunlight. If you need to be in the sun, try to wear a hat, or at the very least sunscreen with a high SPF to prevent burning.

Best of luck,

Casey
