Hello

Are the spots itchy?  Has he been diagnosed with eczema?

Here is some information about eczema along with some images of what it may look like.  The patches may be discolored.

This really needs to be checked out by a doctor to make sure that it is eczema and not some other skin condition.

If it is eczema you may want to watch for any food allergies.  My son was found to be allergic to gluten and dairy which would make his eczema worse.  Hot baths and showers can make the problem worse.

You can try oatmeal baths in lukewarm water.  You can also try a mild over the counter cortisone cream if the patches are itchy.

But you really need to take your child to see his pediatrician or a dermatologist to get the appropriate treatment.

Thank you for your question.
