Q: Why're my legs so easily bruised in the morning?

I'm a 16 year old girl and for over a year, every morning, if my legs touch anything hard, I get hurt and bruise, why? I don't drink, take medication or have any health problems related to this.

Hi there

Have you had a good physical check up?  You may want to ask about this bruising.

Here is a link to a teen site which talks about bruising and when to see your doctor about it.  Two warning signs are if the bruise does not go away within two weeks or if you are bruising with no explanation or reason.

If you are very concerned I definitely would speak to a doctor who can then do some blood tests to rule out any sort of bleeding disorders.

Hope this helps some.  Thank you for your question.
