Did you ever go see a dermatologist about these? What did they say, if you did? They don't seem to have much for sun spots but perhaps yours are caused by something they can treat. I'd at least try with one, let them see these and try to identify them. Hopefully, they'll be able to help remove them. I hope they can help you.
Depending on your skin color type you may be able to have a laser therapy to remove the dark spots. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a small wand used in a dermatolgist office or skin spa that only takes a few minutes. It is painful, but is effective if your is light in color. I've had one treatment so far and see a big difference. The first couple days after the treatment my skin was red, tender, and a bit swollen, and then for about a week or so after the treatment your skin has darker specks, but they dry up and fall of and your left with clear skin.
