brown pigment and loss of pimeant of face

I all of the sudden got this dark coloring on my face (cheeks and upper lip) but I have lost some of my skin coloring (nose around my eyes and forehead). I have been to the doctors and she gave me metrocream she said she thinks it is Rosacea. The medication isnt helping at all, but she wants to try...
