Q: Dark patch of discolored skin Itchy sore/Itchy bumps on arms legs and hand

Thank you... This rash is on my 84 year old Father. It started on his calf as a baseball sized skin discoloration (looks rather like a bruise) that area is very itch and very sore. He has small bumps on his arms legs and hand. If he starts to scratch it accelerates the itching. He has seen several Dr.'s with no help.

What do the doctors say this could be? Do they give your father any treatment for this?

Even if I was a doctor (which I am not) you can't diagnose someone over the internet so the best I can give you are resources and information.

Has your father seen a dermatologist for this?

If not I am going to give you the American Academy of Dermatology link to find a dermatologist in your area.
