Q: Is any one familiar with Morgellons? I am not sure if the CDC still lists it as a disease or not .

The CDC listed it as nothing that comes from nature, or is no known material made by man. Some think it developed from Chemtrails, Jet airplanes exaust that leaves the white streaks across the skies but I don't know if anybody officially has determined its orgin. But also bright flourescent blue fibers come out of my skin which can only be seen with a microscope but i have plenty of pictures because its hard to believe that color fiber comes out of the body, mostly on my hands. I guess the most common symptom is the feeling that something is crawling under your skin that you can't stop it by washing, or hand disinfectant or scratching till your bleeding, and theres nothing visable on you. I bought a 400x usb camara/ microscope and have pictures and specimens. Lately triangles or 3 sides particles are coming out of my pores, nosemy hands. even if I cut myself I bleed in triangle shapes that will scab in a triangle. So to ask the question and run to work but if any body has any info I would appreciate it and I will log back on after 5:30 Thank You, Vmanm6

Hi there

This is a lot to go through to try to diagnose yourself.  What do your doctors say?

I am finding literature on Morgellons.  Here is what my search has yielded:

Morgellons Research Foundation

This is what the Mayo Clinic has fourd regarding this proposed condition:

"A study conducted of 108 patients at the Mayo Clinic was published in Archives of Dermatology on May 16, 2011. The study failed to find evidence of skin infestation despite doing skin biopsies and examining specimens provided by the patients. The study, which was conducted between 2001 and 2007, concluded that the feeling of skin infestation was a delusion, delusional parasitosis."

Here is more information on Morgellons from Wikipedia.

Here is the CDC information on Morgellons.

Here is an article about Morgellons in The Guardian.

The Mayo Clinic also has a page dedicated to Morgellons.

Here is a good article from Psychology Today on this condition.

Do you have other symptoms?  As in neurological symptoms?  One thing I know which can cause the sensation of crawling under the skin is neuropathy....I have MS and I know it is possible for the brain to trick you to thinking you are having these sensations.

This is a fascinating topic indeed.  It seems the consensus at this point is that it is a mystery.  I hope that in time researchers will find out what is causing such symptoms.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
