What is my Rash - Itchy, red, blistering - abdomen and back?
Rash started on my back about a week ago, it began as a mild itch. Then it showed up on my stomach a couple days later. Started as just an itchy patch, it has now become a cluster of blisters surrounded by red. I only have this on my back and abdomen on my right side. It does not seem to spread, but it doesn't seem to be going away either. I thought maybe it was a severe reaction to a food allergy(history of fruit/veggie allergies), since its start seemed to coincide with a couple canker sores. But the canker sores have now gone away, but the rash is still present. Any ideas? Attached is a picture, I hope it shows up. Thanks!

It sounds like celiac disease, a form of wheat/gluten allergy also known as Dermititis Herpetiformis (not related to herpes). Consider getting a blood test after eating bread or pasta. They can also do a skin biopsy. Fortunately, this is easily cured by excluding gluten from your diet.

I came across your posting as I searched for symptoms I am experiencing. I, too, have the exact same thing you described... only on the right side of my back and abdomen. I'm going to the Dr's office today, but curious to know if you found out what it was. I had a bad case of the chicken pox when I was 8yrs old and I don't have any food alergies. ???

I have this too! It looks exactly like that, it turned out to be an insect bite, which I have no idea how I got bit my an insect... Besides that, just get some cream to put on it, mine automatically started going away :)

ITs : HERPES ZOSTER for sure. It attacks one side of the body. Relief will come after two weeks. It could come back ; but will be milder.

I have the same rash. I have been told its shingles ,but when tested it comes back daries disease. I HAVE A LOT OF FOOD SENSITIVITY any kind of sugar is bad for me . Wondering how you got rid of it or how long it last? Mine has come and gone for 4 years since my mom died . I did have bad chicken pox RIGHT SIDE ONLY when i was a kid left burn like scares unlike pocks . thanks

It looks as if you have shingles which is a flare-up of an old chicken pox infection. Sshngles can be quite painful in the area it occurs and it can take months to run its course.
