If the bed has been cleaned, I'd go over it again with the towel that they leave in there for you. It may be from the cleaner that they use on the bed. You can always ask for another towel.

I have had a severe reaction. It came from 1) perfume and heat; 2) ingredients used to clean tanning bed; 3) reaction to too much sun.
I was in intensive care for 5 days. Never went back to tanning bed. The extreme sun? heat? generated mixed with certain chemicals just don't work.
