i think i had exactly the same thing and yes it is related to yeast,  after 6 weeks of acne medication that i already knew wasnt going to work because it wasnt acne, my dactoe finally started me on ketoconozole and within like 3 days i could tell a difference.  She said you cant cure it completley becausr yeast lives naturally on the skin, but i no longer have an acne-like rash all over my face,neck and back.  I now use a dandruff shampoo, topical ketoconzole and a Z and P bar soap.
