For some tips on relieving the itchiness you can read this article by Merely Me, a writer and community leader for this site, wrote, titled, Ten Home Remedies to Treat Sunburn.

If you had sun poisoning you are likely over that now, except for the damage you caused your skin. I'm not a doctor, but you can read Merely Me's article, What You Need to Know About Sun Poisoning. Among other things it lists the symptoms and when you should seek medical attention for sun poisoning.
