Can high blood pressure medicine cause adult acne?

linda
06/26/08

I am 58 years old and in the past year have developed acne, again.  The only change I can think of is my blood pressure medicine has been doubled in strength and I have added a new high blood pressure medicine.  I will break out in white pustules overnight.

I am 36 and have acne ..and I am suspicious that elevated blood pressure might be a cause..I don't take BL medication...but I think I suffer from high blood pressure..my head often feels hot and liek something's running around in it..good luck

This is not an answer, but just wanted to say that I, too, am 58 years old, have moderately high BP and just had the dosage of my BP meds increased.  I have begun to break out around my jawline and mouth area.  Hope someone can come up with some info on this!
