Q: My mom is coughing, can't walk / swelling in hands and feet

I hope someone can help.  My Mom is 92 years old.  About 3 months, she got a bad cought.  She only cough at night before going to bed (dry cough).  After about 2 weeks of coughing, the doctor give her Levofozazacin 250 mg to take. That seem to help. However, she is still coughing at night time but not as much.  About a week after taking Levofozazacin, my mom can not walk by herself.  Her balance is very off. Then a few weeks later, my mom got swelling on her hands and feet.  We took her to the hospital ER.  The ER found that she has a track infection and gave her Nitrofur-Macr 100 mg to take for 7 days. The ER also found that her potassium level is low and she is now taking Potassium CL ER 20 MEG tables.  One doctor thinks she should go for a catscan of her chesk.  Another doctor thinks it is allergy. Another issue, sometimes her back is itcy.   I hope someone can help.  Thank you.  Mike
