Hi Amber

I know this must be so worrisome for you.  Did the doctor provide any diagnosis or treatment?  Was eczema ever mentioned?  Here is an article I just wrote about infant and childhood eczema that may be helpful for you.

Please know that I am not a doctor.  But when my son was a baby he had tons of skin issues and what you are talking about sounds familiar.  He had eczema but also...we found he had multiple food allergies.  Now I have no idea if this is what is going on with your daughter...it could be anything.  I think you have to look at anything which might be causing the skin reactions including soaps, detergents, or even food.

My strong suggestion to you is to go seek the opinion of a dermatologist. They are going to know best about skin conditions.

In the meantime start keeping a diary of when her skin reacts...what she has eaten...did she have a bath...was it dry or hot outside?  Look for any patterns.

I am sorry your baby is having these skin issues.  Hang in there and let us know what the doctor says.

Thank you for your question.
