Hi Shelby

I am so sorry you are going through this. First thing is...are you seeing regular general practitioners or are you seeing a dermatologist.  I would highly recommend that you see a dermatologist who is more experienced in knowing about skin conditions and how to treat them.

Here is an article I wrote about what to do when you have an unexplained rash.  You and your doctor will have to be detectives in finding out the cause.  Does anything alleviate the itching feeling?  I am sure you have been told already but you can't rip open your skin as this can cause you to be at risk for an infection.

There are so many possibilties of what this could be.  Please know that I am not a doctor and only a medical professional who sees you in person can make any kind of diagnosis.  What has been ruled out?  Is there a chance these are insect bites or bedbugs? Or scabies.  It could be an allergy of some sort.  It could be eczema.  Do you have any other symptoms than the rash?   Does it seem to get worse under some conditions?   I would write down all your symptoms so that you will be ready for your next doctor appointment.

I know this must be maddening to go through but you will have to be patient as you seek answers from your doctor.

If you do find out what this is...please let us know.

Thank you for your question.

I am have similar type of rash that started 6 months back. Older rashes used to heal in a few weeks but newer rashes would appear ever few days so it was getting worse. It used to leave dark hyperpigmentation after healing. In the last two months the doctor prescribed Fluocinonide .05% ointment twice a day as it appears to be some type of eczema/allergy. Now newer rashes stopped happening and older ones are healing away. However a larger rash has not yet responded to the ointment after 2 months. Hopefully the doctor will find something to resolve. At least the ointment prevented new rashes so far which is good.
