Q: Someone told me that she had a skin cancer test that was basically a scan that was run all over her entire body. is this correct? Is there such a test?

I would be curious where your friend had such a scan.

The technology does exist and there have been news reports about a scanning device for skin cancer.

This Nashville Tennesee news report discusses this scanning device.

And here is a youtube video by Vanderbilt Health News describing how they can diagnose skin cancer without a biopsy. It sounds very exciting. Do you have any more details from your friend?
