Q: My 7 year old son has a rash that starts as small bumps, blisters then scabs over..what is going on?

Hello- I am looking for an answer to the mystery of my sons rash. He got a rash of small bumps behind his knee. I assumed it was eczema as he has a mild case of that. a few days later the bumps got red, then they got bigger and turned into a water blister sort of thing. Then broke open and turned into huge sores that scabed over. Dr. put him on prednizone. Two days later it was still spreading put him on Keflex plus had to put noesporin on his sores. Finished medication then 2 days later bumps again only not just behind the knee put arms and arm pits, chest, stomache, buttocks. Just little bumps everywhere. Back to the Dr. but him on a stronger steroid cream and bactrim. Been 2 days now. Still bumps there but they have not gotten much bigger. Plus his 3 year old brother got some behind his knee and we started antibiotics right away so far so good with him. SO if someone has an anwer I would love to hear it. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I have no answer but I was wondering if you could share with us what the diagnosis and/or prognosis turned out to be ... my 8-year-old son is experiencing the same symptoms!  Thank you.
