Wednesday, October 20, 2010 sad skin asks

Q: I have translucent blisters sometimes show up on my face then will move to my back and then to my arms and back to my face. I do not believe they are acne or pimples.

I will fill a prick sometimes and within a few hours a bump is created. I can feel the pressure. If I squeeze it I get oil and sometimes blood. If I leave it alone it will ooze oil and blood. I use Roc for troubled skin and it helps but every so often I will have a series of breakouts. I have been to a Dermatologist but the appointments never seem to land during a breakout period. Should I go to a regular doctor during a breakout and have a sample taken? Has anyone heard of this before.  I had my ovaries removed so I am not sure it is hormonal either.  The only thing that drys them up is ether and we can not buy it in Canada.

Hi there

Have you had these blisters anywhere else on your body? I would not squeeze them for risk of infection.

Please know that I am not a doctor or a dermatologist.

These symptoms could be anything but I am wondering if you have ever had shingles

I would absolutely go see a doctor and discuss your symptoms.

Thank you for your question.
