Hello
The best person to answer this question would be the doctor who prescribed this antibiotic. What was said to you about the reason for the use of this medication?
Here is information we have about Clindamycin.
It seems it is usually prescribed for Rosacea and acne.
I would definitely call the doctor and a. Tell him or her about the rash and b. Ask why it was prescribed in the first place.
Thank you for your question!

The lady speaks very limited English. She showed me the tube and the pharmacist had clearly stated it was for acne. But she does not have acne. The doctor told her to apply it to her neck where he had biopsied. Seems strange to me. She was going back to the doctor the day I saw her to get a new prescription. She speaks to the doctor through an interpreter.
