Q: the skin on top of my foot near the ankle feels like it is burning, but no rash or color, why?

The  top of my foot, near the ankle feels like I have a burn on it, but there is no rash and it looks normal. what would cause this?

This would be difficult to say.  Have you been out in the sun?  Sometimes sunburn takes awhile to show up.  Have you been in contact with any chemicals or any new products like soaps or detergents?    Have you brushed up against any plants or anything like that? It is strange that the pain is located there. 


If you have major concerns and the feeling is not going away...please do see your doctor. 


Is there any chance you have some sort of nerve damage there?  Are you having any other symptoms?


Chances are that there is nothing to worry about but do consult with your doctor if the feeling persists.
