Q: I have small almost pimple like red bumps on my feet and legs. They itch so badly! What are they?

They started a few weeks ago, and I woke up yesterday to small areas of them on my arm and some on my face by my eyes, although the ones on my eyes don't look like pimples they're swollen red areas. I was misdiagnosed with a bacterial infection when it was just on my feet and the back of my legs and then had an allergic reaction to the augmenten, so I was on a steriod. They seemed to be going away but then I stopped the steriod on tuesday, woke up on thursday with some on my shin and then on Saturday with them all over my legs, arms and face. They itch ALOT and turn a darker red almost brown after a few days. HELP!!

Hi there

I am hoping by now that your skin problem has resolved.

I would not even begin to guess at what is going on with your rash.  It sounds like you were having a bad reaction to going off the steroid.  This can happen.

Let us know how you are feeling and if your doctor has found out what is causing your red bumps.

Sorry you had to go through this.

Thank you for your question.
