Q: I need help with oily skin and large pores.

I thought by now, at 50 years old, I would not still be dealing with this life long battle.  Granted I have no wrinkles yet, just a grossly oily face with huge pores in my t-zone.

Pores do enlarge as we age and many of the treatment lines now available, target that very issue.  Sephora is a great place to be "exposed" to different skincare and makeup options for this problem.  Or you can go to a dermatologist who may recommend treatments.

Hi Pam,

There are many ways to address oily skin and large pores.  One technique I have been using with success in my patients has been to use Intra-Dermal Botox. Essentially this means small amounts of botox injected into the skin only - results have been very satisfying with Patients experiencing smaller pores and less oily skin for several months. If you would like more information about this technique you can watch a story I did with CBS News New York on my website: www.custom-lift.com

Thanks & Good Luck,
