Picking pimples is definitely a bad idea! It can irritate your skin, leading to more acne, and cause scarring. If you have skin of color, picking at your skin can result in discolorations that persist long after the pimples have gone (this condition is known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). If your pimples are persistent, your best option is to consult a board certified dermatologist for effective treatment.
