I have a raised about 1/4" hard, dry skin patch on the top of my hand that does not hurt but has bee

but has been there for about a year.  It started as a small bump under the skin.  Neither does it itch - it's jsut there but I would like to be rid of it.  At first I thought it was a wart and tried to freeze it off, but that did not work.  What do you think and suggest?
