each test yield different diagnosis/staff infection / hair folicle infection/lichen simplex chonicog and others! esisted for over four years/ treatment by hospital dermatology  and two dermatology clinics. used shots/ ointment / sterroid topical solution/ antibiotics / acne pack with step down dosages each day for one month one/shazen 2%shampoo four years/ ! nothing works???

it looks and feelsjust like acne. it started as a couple of bumps and now exceeds one hundred. it only is in scalp hair area only. bumps swell to maybe one quarter inch before breaking  then flatten out / heal over with thin scalb for one day / then starts swelling back to a head again all over in same spot. these hundred or so nots continue to swell and break all over my scalp and continue repeating the process for four years. no madication effects them.  the shampoo dajazen 2% is only thing that seems to have any effect at all. it will tend to start shrinking bumps for twenty four hours , then they retyrn just as before. daily use of shampoo will not relieve the symptoms! the biopsies run aproximately 500$ hawever each result in different diagnosis. the present doctor lays the blame on me saying i continue scratching them.

all I do is break the lumps when they come to a white head and release the white thick cream and then apply alcohol as instructed hawever the bump starts returning within two days. I am at a loss where to turn???

can some one help me???

Regards

sorry i am not answerring the question, because  this is my first time in this forum, and i don't know how to place a question, but i have the exact same problem since middle of 183, summer. I have been on similar (sound almost the same history) treatments by dermatologist doctors in diferent  ocations, diferent clinics, and  i am desperate about this, i have been prescribe with some positive temporaly results,; clobetsol prpionate 0.05% topical solution, this is liquid, also tretinoin 0.025%, also clindamycin phophate 1%, this last one appear to help little bit more, and lately i took the initiative tu use melaleuca oil with some positive result, but everithing has been temporarly.

Also i notice like the hair got curly inside the scalp and because of it

create the bumps little balls, apparently the sebaceuos glands have no way out for the natural grase and i beliave thes grease is the one that create the infection pecause it got under the skin.

ive had this exact same problem. About twice / thrice a week, I use Steiprox shampoo. The chemical in it is Ciclopirox Olamine. The manufacturer is Steifel. The difference is tremendous. Do try and let the forum know.
