
Your virginity is not something physical. It is the ACT of having sex that makes you lose your virginity.
However, in the old days, people would say they could tell if you were a virgin or not by seeing if your hymen was intact. Your hymen is a flap of skin in the vagina that sometimes tears during your 1st sexual encounter. We now know, though, that a girl can lose/tear her hymen doing many physical things like riding a horse, playing rough, biking, etc. long before she ever has sex.
