I don't know but I have exactly the same symptoms. A mosquito bite in the South of France in August which flares up and is unbearably itchy then dies away again only to reappear in exactly the same place a few weeks later. Others on that holiday contracted it too. It is now a small, fibrous lump.Is this some cyclical parasitic infection? If so why does it stay in the same place and not proliferate around the body? I imagined it might have come with insects trapped in a fruit consignment from tropical regions like Africa. If anyone has the answer we'd be very glad to hear it. Many thanks,Laura
