Study: Stress really does cause gray hair

Japanese scientists have found that stress really does give you gray hair--but the good news is that it also may offer some protection from cancer. In their study, researchers found that a person's stress builds, the stem cells that replenish his or her hair color become damaged, which leaves the hair silver or gray. But destroying these stem cells--which have damaged DNA--also keeps them from dividing, which can help protect a person from developing tumors. Read more »
