What Causes Oily Hair

An international team of scientists are reporting that they've identified the root cause of gray hair. Researchers performed experiments on hair and follicle cells and found that gray hair is caused by a build-up of hydrogen peroxide due to the wear and tear of hair follicles that comes with age. This hydrogen peroxide blocks the hair's natural pigment, resulting in gray hair. The scientists say their finding may lead to new treatments for the prevention of this condition.
