Low doses of fluoride may help combat postmenopausal osteoporosis,
researchers say. Scientists have long known that fluoride builds
bone density, but fluoride has not been found effective at
preventing fractures. Now scientists in New Zealand say adding low
doses of fluoride to estrogen therapy may be a way to build bone
density while also reducing fracture risk.
