Implants, also called injectable fillers, are becoming a common means of erasing wrinkles and folds. The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery notes that 5 million procedures using injectables were performed in 2008. Several materials are being used for deep wrinkles, depressions under the eyes, lip enhancements, and acne scars.
