Clarcon hand sanitizers recalled
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a major recall of all Clarcon skincare products after U.S. Marshalls seized all supplies involved of their manufacture. In June, FDA officials found harmful levels of bacteria in the products during an inspection of Clarcon Biological Chemistry, the products' maker. The company refused to destroy the contaminated products, prompting the FDA to issue the recall and order Marshalls to seize the factory's supplies. Brands affected by this recall include Citrushield Lotion, Dermasentials DermaBarrier, Dermassentials by Clarcon Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer, Iron Fist Barrier Hand Treatment, Skin Shield Restaurant, Skin Shield Industrial, Skin Shield Beauty Salon Lotion, Total Skin Care Beauty, and Total Skin Care Work. No consumer issues have been reported from these products.
